Description

Barley Stack Cottage is a pair of houses dating from the 18th century. They feature diaper brickwork and a thatched roof, with No 38 being whitewashed. The buildings are two storeys high, each consisting of two bays with a central entrance under pitched porches. They have timber casement windows, some of which are paned. No 39 includes a thatched, weatherboarded, and flint extension to the right, which has a boarded door, and there is a stack on the party wall. Additionally, there is a 20th-century extension to the left of No 38.
