Description
13 Market Place is an early 19th-century building that stands two storeys tall and is finished with cement render. It features a moulded cornice and a stone parapet, topped by a gable end slate roof. On the first floor, there are three recessed sash windows with intact glazing bars, although the right-hand window is false. A broad stucco sill course runs beneath these windows. The ground floor has a mid-20th-century shop front on the left, and to the right, there is a recessed door with six flush panels and a narrow rectangular fanlight above. This building is part of a group of listed buildings on the south-west side of Market Place, as well as forming a group with numbers 1 to 18 on Northgate Street.
