Description
32 Duke Street is an early 18th century house that has been refronted. It is a two-storey, cement-rendered, double-fronted building. The house features two ranges of late glazed sash windows set in stone surrounds, which have recessed reveals with a beaded inner edge and quirked corners. There is a central first-floor cross window from the late 17th or early 18th century, which has the same stone surround and quirked corners as the other windows and includes casement lights. Below this is a round-headed doorway that has a beaded inner edge, a keystone above a blind tympanum, and a panelled lintel; the door itself is modern. The roof is covered with double Roman tiles and has a crested ridge, along with two brick chimneys at the gable ends.
