Description

13 Duke Street is a late 17th or early 18th century building of two storeys and an attic. It is constructed with colour-washed stucco over a stone plinth, and has a stone string course marking the first floor level. A moulded stone cornice sits above the first-floor windows. A raised verge with stone coping is present on the left side. The roof is covered in double Roman tiles, with a catslide roof at the rear. The building features quoins. The windows are glazing bar sashes, with raised and fielded panels to their shutters. The window surrounds are raised, with moulded outer edges and beaded inner edges. Two wide, two-light gabled casement dormers light the attic. There are four windows on the first floor, set within a flat stone surround with moulded edgings, and three similar windows on the ground floor. A six-panel door, with a moulded and chamfered surround, a small cornice, and a pediment supported by cut stone scroll brackets, is positioned in the second bay from the right.
