Description

This is a large railed enclosure located on the south edge of the churchyard, approximately 11 metres south of the Church of St. Mary. It dates from the 18th century and features a limestone ashlar dwarf wall with fielded panels and coping, topped with fine cast and wrought-iron railings. The railings include scrolled panels and twisted corner posts with small vase finials, standing about 1.3 metres high. At the west end, there is a cast and wrought-iron gate. The dedication of the enclosure is unknown, and there are no visible tombs within it. Attached to the west of the enclosure are stone gate piers, likely from the 18th century. The left pier is a monolithic cylinder with a conical cap, while the right pier is square with a moulded cap.
