Description

Perrior House is a detached house dating from the 17th century, which was rebuilt in the late 18th century. It is constructed of rubble stone and chalk, with some areas rendered, and features a tiled roof that has hips to the south and a coped verge to the north, along with brick stacks. The gable end faces the road.

The house is two stories high and has a three-windowed south front that is positioned at right angles to the road. The central entrance features a six-panelled door with a transom light set within a latticed porch. To the right of the door is a 16-pane flush sash window, while to the left is a three-light steel casement window. On the first floor, there are 16-pane sash windows on either side of a central narrow four-pane sash window.

The right side of the house has a two-storey canted bay, which includes a 12-pane sash window on the ground floor and a nine-pane fixed window on the first floor, along with a two-light steel casement. The attic features a 20th-century dormer. The left side has small sash and casement windows, and the roof has hips on a two-span design. At the rear, there is a late 19th-century lean-to extension. The front of the house is complemented by 19th-century cast-iron railings. The interior was not accessible during the survey in September 1985.
