Description
This is an early 19th century terrace of six small houses, numbered 1 to 7, on St Martin’s Church Street. The buildings are constructed of red brick with a stone plinth. They have low-pitched gable-end slate roofs and moulded eaves. The terrace is symmetrical, with each house featuring a single two-light casement window to each floor; the small, multi-paned lights are arched at the top, although some have been replaced. Each house has a plain front door. The Tollgate Inn on Southampton Road and numbers 1 to 7 form a group.
