Description
No 32 on High Street is a building that dates back to 1594, although it was later altered in the 18th century and again in the early 19th century. It features a refronting of an earlier structure and stands three storeys tall, constructed of painted brick with a hipped old tile roof. Originally, it had a moulded bracketed eaves cornice, which has since been replaced by boxed eaves.
On the second floor, there are two flush framed sash windows without glazing bars. The first floor has a centrally located early 19th-century canted bay window with a shaped leaded pent roof. The ground floor originally had an early 19th-century shop front, but this has been altered with new glazing and a modern fascia. The rear elevation retains 18th-century fenestration. The building is currently in poor condition, with the left-hand part of the street front partly boarded up.
