Description
Nos 8 and 10 on High Street are late 18th century to early 19th century buildings that have been refronted from earlier structures. They stand three storeys tall. No 8 is rendered and features a block cornice and parapet, chamfered quoins, and bands between the storeys. The upper floors have three windows with recessed sashes that do not have glazing bars, and keystones that break into bands. The ground floor has a modern shop front. No 10 has a painted brick front with a moulded, bracketed wood cornice and a brick parapet with stone coping. It also has a hipped roof covered with old tiles. The upper floors have two windows with flush architrave framed sashes that do not have glazing bars, and keystones above them. There is a thin band between the storeys, and like No 8, it features a modern shop front on the ground floor. Nos 2 to 14 (even) form a group.
