Description

The Old Farmhouse and Farm Cottage are an early 19th-century farmhouse, possibly incorporating an earlier core. It is constructed of rubble stone with a stone slate roof and end stacks. Originally two houses, the main range is two storeys high. The front features 12-pane sash windows on each side, with a central stone quatrefoil plaque above the doorway, which is set in a flush surround with a hood on brackets. To the left is a similar doorcase without a hood, and a single-window range of 12-pane sash windows. Flush quoins are present. The end walls have attic windows with cyma-moulded single lights. A rear wing, designated Farm Cottage, is one-and-a-half storeys high, with two-light flush mullion windows with cyma-moulded heads.
