Description

Lower Farmhouse is probably originally a late 17th-century cottage, with additions made in the early 18th century, and 20th-century additions on each side. The farmhouse is constructed of random coursed rubble stone with quoins, with the front face rendered. It has a stone slate roof and stone end and ridge stacks. The main range is two storeys and has an attic. On the left side, the facade features two 2-light stone mullion and transom windows on each floor, with casements and some leaded glass. To the right, there is a 2-light stone mullion window on the first floor and a 3-light window on the ground floor. A 20th-century glazed door sits just left of centre, accompanied by a 2-light stone-framed fanlight.
