Description
Driffield Manor is a detached house located in Driffield, dating from the late 17th century. The building has undergone significant alterations and expansions in the early 20th century, particularly at the rear and side. It is constructed of random coursed rubble stone and features alternating flush gables. The roof is made of stone slate with coped gable ends and has stone end stacks with offset and moulded cornices.
The main range of the house is two storeys high with an attic and includes five windows that are 2-light stone mullion and transoms with leaded lights, all set in flush surrounds. There are four windows on the ground floor, topped by a continuous plat band. The central entrance features a stone doorcase with a 20th-century half-glazed door and a 2-light fanlight above. Additionally, there are two small hipped dormers with 2-light leaded casements. The 20th-century additions primarily include stone mullion windows in flush surrounds, and the interior has also been significantly altered during the 20th century.
