8/217 Foster Lodge monument in churchyard, approximately 4m south of chancel, Church of St Michael

Tombstone. 1927, by Eric Gill. Limestone. A steeply ridged tomb with ridge roll, and low sides with spaced round recesses. Roundel on ends carved with cross on west, and owl on branch on east. Sloping sides with fine carved inscriptions to Wynlaye Foster Lodge, died 1922, and Oliver Foster Lodge, poet, and son of Sir Oliver Lodge, added 1955.
