Description
Two chest tombs are located in the churchyard about 2 meters north of the nave of the Church of St. Michael. They date from the early 18th century and are made of limestone. Each tomb stands on a plinth and features two recessed moulded panels on the main sides, topped with a cavetto-moulded flat top. The tombs are connected by stone slabs that span the gap between them. The northern tomb bears inscriptions for Thomas Elkins, who died in 1714, and his wife Lucy, who died in 1737. The southern tomb is dedicated to their son Thomas, who died in 1719.
