Description

There are two chest tombs located in the churchyard, between 1.5 and 3 meters south of the nave of the Church of St Michael and All Angels. These tombs date from the 18th century and are made of limestone. They have a similar design featuring moulded plinths. Each tomb has two shield-shaped fielded panels on the main sides. The southern tomb includes pilasters with scrolled decoration and an inscription commemorating Thomas Sayer, who died in 1755. The northern tomb has a partly illegible inscription.
