Description

ATWORTH CHURCH STREET ST 86 NE (south side) 2/47 Three unidentified monuments in the churchyard on north side of path and about 12m north east of tower of Church of St Michael and All Angels GV II

Three chest tombs. C18. Limestone. Of the pair to the west, the east one has raised shield-shaped panels; the west one has circular raised panels, fielded pilasters and shield-shaped end-panels, both tombs with moulded flat tops and illegible inscriptions. Tomb about 3 metres to east probably early C18 with two recessed moulded panels to sides, moulded flat top and illegible inscription.
