Description

EASTINGTON CHURCHEND SO 7805 13/51 Four Unidentified Monuments, about lm south of 2nd and 3rd aisle windows from east in churchyard of Church of St. Michael and All Angels GV II Four chest tombs. Unidentified, probably mid C18. Limestone. Flat tops, moulded cappings, plinths not visible for all. Lyre ends with high relief carving. Two central tombs in very poor repair at time of survey (November 1985) and all partially overgrown. Chest to west in best state with oval wreathed panel and flanking foliage or cherubs and skulls set into large moulded rectangular panels on both sides.
