Description

Five unidentified monuments are located about 2 to 8 meters south of the south-east aisle window in the churchyard of the Church of St. Michael and All Angels. These are five chest tombs, likely dating from the early to mid-18th century, made of limestone. They feature flat tops with moulded plinths and capping, some resting on bases. Two of the tombs have lyre ends with high relief carvings on the ends and sides. The southernmost tomb has gadrooned quarter balusters, cartouche ends, and plain moulded side panels, while the other two have plainer carved panels. At the time of the survey in November 1985, the monuments were very overgrown and mostly in poor condition.
