Description

ATWORTH CHURCH STREET ST 86 NE (south side) 2/48 Four unidentified monuments in the churchyard on south side of path and between 11 and 18m east of tower of Church of St Michael and All Angels II GV Group of four chest tombs. C18. Limestone. North west of group is small tomb with fluted weathered top and plain sides and shaped corners. To the east are three late C18 tombs, one with shield- shaped panels and scrolled carving on pilasters and two with two plain raised panels, drapery carving, quarter balusters and fluted frieze to moulded flat top; all these have illegible inscriptions.
