Description

The garden walls on the north, south, and east sides of Hilperton House date from the 18th century. These rubble stone walls enclose three sides of the garden and face The Knap and Church Street. They feature flat stone coping, although the upper courses have been partly removed along Church Street. On the north side, which faces The Knap, there are plain stone gate piers with moulded cappings and scalloped ball finials. The entrance includes a good cast-iron gate with scrolled cresting.
