Description
No. 231 on Church Street is a cottage located at the end of a row, built in the early 20th century. It is constructed from rubble stone and features a pantiled roof with brick stacks. The building has an L-shaped plan, with the entrance positioned at right angles to the road. It is two stories high and has a two-window entrance front. The entrance includes a planked door flanked by three-light cyma-mullioned casements on either side, with a single cyma-moulded casement to the right. On the first floor, there are two three-light cyma-mullioned casements. The left side of the building, which faces the road, has a five-light cyma-mullioned casement on the ground floor and two two-light mullioned casements on the first floor. The design of this cottage is intended to match the adjacent properties, Nos. 232 and 233.
