Description
The former lock-up, located approximately 40 meters northeast of Church Farm, is a late 17th-century village lock-up or blind house. It was altered in the early 20th century and restored in 1978.
The building features limestone ashlar walls and roof. It has an unequal sided octagonal single cell plan. The small, single-storey structure includes a doorway with a plain limestone chamfered surround that faces the street, fitted with a late 20th-century door. A plat band runs along the building, which has a domed roof topped with a ball finial. The rear of the building, which faces a private garden, was not inspected. The interior was also not inspected.
