Description

This is an early 19th-century detached house on Church Street. The front is constructed of limestone ashlar, with an asbestos slate roof featuring coped verges and gable end stone stacks. The house is two storeys with an attic, and has a three-window front. A central C20 glazed door is set within a chamfered opening, topped by a flat stone hood supported on brackets. Flanking the door are 12-pane sash windows. A plat band runs along the first floor level, above which are three sashes. Two C20 dormers, each with a 12-pane sash, are set into the roof. The right return features an attached C20 garage that is not considered to be of special interest. At the rear is a C20 two-storey outshut, rendered in stucco and with sash windows.
