Description
Admiral's House is a detached house built in the early 19th century. It is constructed from dressed limestone and features a hipped Welsh slate roof with rendered stacks. The house is two stories high and has a three-window entrance front. The central entrance consists of a six-panelled door with an octagonal-paned transom light above it, sheltered by a flat wooden hood supported by brackets. There are 16-pane sash windows on either side of the door, and the first floor has three additional 16-pane sashes. The roof has deep eaves.
On the right side of the house, there is a single-light casement window on the first floor, and an attached former single-storey outhouse that includes a planked door and a two-light casement window. The left side features a c1980 imitation sash window on the ground floor to the left, a 16-pane sash window to the right, and two 16-pane sashes on the first floor. Each floor also has a small c1980 four-pane top-hung casement window on the left. At the rear, there is a 20th-century two-storey extension that is not of special interest.
Inside, the house retains some window shutters and has an imported hob-grate fireplace with a 20th-century reeded architrave.
