Description
Combe House is a detached house built around 1700. It features dressed limestone and has a concrete tiled roof with coped verges and stone and brick stacks. The house has a gable end facing the road and is two stories high with a two-window south front. The central door, which dates from the 20th century, is topped with a flat wooden hood supported by brackets. On either side of the door are raking buttresses. To the left is a three-light recessed chamfered mullioned casement with a dripstone, and to the right is a two-light recessed chamfered mullioned casement, also with a dripstone. On the first floor, there are two three-light mullioned casements. The roof has two 20th-century raking dormers. The left side of the house features a moulded bull's-eye window in the attic. At the rear, there is a two-light mullioned casement with a hoodmould on the right, a 20th-century single-light casement on the left, and additional 20th-century casements and a single recessed chamfered light on the first floor. There is a single-storey extension attached to the right side, which includes a bull's-eye window in the attic of the main range. The interior has not been inspected.
