Description
Ridge Farm is a farmhouse built in the late 17th century and the 19th century. It features dressed limestone with a tiled roof and brick and limestone stacks, arranged in an L-plan. The building is two stories high with a three-window front. The entrance consists of a 19th-century four-panelled door set in a gabled porch. To the right of the door is a 4-light recessed chamfered mullioned window, and to the left is a 3-light mullioned window. On the first floor, there are three windows: a 3-light, a 2-light, and a 4-light, all of which are mullioned. To the left, there is a projecting 19th-century wing with casement windows. The right side of the building features an external stack with offsets. At the rear, there is a 2-light mullioned window and two 2-light casements. To the right, there is a 19th-century landing for internal stairs supported on cast-iron posts. Inside, the farmhouse has chamfered beams and an open fireplace with a cambered lintel.
