Description
This is a row of three attached cottages located at 83, The Ridge, built around 1870. They are constructed from uncoursed dressed limestone and feature ornamental tiled roofs with brick stacks. The cottages are two stories high and have six windows in total. Each cottage has three planked doors set in rustic gabled porches, and there are two 2-light casement windows with brick segmental heads on the ground floor of each cottage. The first floor contains six 2-light casements. The sides of the cottages are windowless. At the rear, there are two-storey 20th-century extensions that are rendered and have reused ornamental tiled roofs. The cottages are a good example of little altered estate cottages from the Fonthill Estate. The interior has not been inspected.
