Description
No. 59 Church Lane is a semi-detached cottage dating from the mid-18th century. The building is rendered and features a double Roman tiled roof with rendered brick gable end stacks. It is two stories high and has two windows. The entrance is a four-panelled door located to the left of center, which is sheltered by a flat stone hood supported by brackets. To the left of the door is a 2-light beaded mullioned casement, while to the right there is a 6-pane casement and a 3-light mullioned casement. A plat band runs over the lintel. On the first floor, there are two 3-light beaded mullioned casements. There is a 20th-century garage attached to the right return and a single-light window in the attic. The rear of the cottage features a 3-light mullioned casement and a 2-light casement, along with a 20th-century porch. Inside, the cottage has chamfered beams and open fireplaces.
