UPTON SCUDAMORE WESTBURY ROAD ST 84 NE (east side) 8/220 Milestone about 100 metres south of crossroads - II Milestone. Late C18. Limestone pillar with pitched top and cast-iron plate attached to front. Raised lettering: Warminster/2/Westbury/2. Warminster to Westbury Road turnpiked 1757-58, one of a series of radial turnpikes around Warminster. (VCH, Wiltshire, Vol 4, 1958).
