Description
No. 33 is a detached cottage located in Upton Scudamore, dated 1723 on the front. It is built of Flemish bond brick with stone dressings and quoins, topped with a concrete tiled roof that features gable end brick stacks and coped verges. The cottage has an L-plan layout and is two stories tall with three windows. The central entrance consists of a four-panelled door set within a moulded stone architrave, accompanied by a 20th-century flat wooden hood. On either side of the door are three-light cyma-mullioned casements. Above the door, there is a moulded stone string course over the lintels. The first floor has two three-light mullioned casements and a datestone. The left side of the building showcases good brickwork with vitrified headers. The rear wing includes a 20th-century porch and two two-light mullioned casements. The right side features two-light casements and blocked attic windows. The interior was not accessible during the survey in July 1986.
