21 and 23, Warminster Road

Nos 21 and 23 on Warminster Road are early 18th century buildings that are currently part derelict. They are two storeys high and have a roughcast exterior. The first floor features two ranges of windows, which are three-light casements with beaded inner edges and stone mullions. There is an additional similar window on the right side above the door to No 23, and another blocked window above the door to No 21. The ground floor windows have moulded frames. A stone chamfered string runs over the ground floor and returns to the sides. The central doorway belongs to No 21. The roof is covered with triple Roman tiles and is hipped to the right, with a brick ridge chimney. No 21 also has a two-storey pantiled extension at the rear, which includes two ranges of windows with two, three, and four lights. A stream flows beneath the houses, particularly under No 23.
