Description
The Bell Inn is an early 18th-century building located on Warminster Road in Chalford Hamlet. It is two storeys high and constructed of painted brick, with stone dressings on the first floor. The roof is hipped and covered with pantiles, featuring a central chimney. On the first floor, there are two windows with two lights each, which are glazing bar casements that include block corners, mullions, and mouldings from around the 1720s. The ground floor has been altered in the late 19th or early 20th century and features two doors and a pair of windows to the right, each topped with a cornice over a modillion bedmould. The south side of the building has a three-window return, mostly adorned with a two-level brick dentil eaves band. There is also a doorway with a flat hood that lacks brackets.
