Description

The barn at Rectory Farm, dating from the 18th century, has been converted into a cow shed. It features weatherboarding on timber-framed walls that sit on a low brick plinth laid in English bond, topped with a half-hipped roof made of corrugated iron. The structure consists of six bays, with an entrance located in the third bay from the right, which is accessed through square-headed wooden double doors. The roof trusses include tie-beams supported by jowled main posts, with curved braces, collars, and raking struts to the principal rafters. The two bays on the right are separated from the four main bays.
