Description

The head memorial in the churchyard, located about one metre from the south side of the chancel of the Church of St. Mary, is a chest tomb dating from the early 19th century. It is made of limestone ashlar and features a plinth with two grooved flush panels on each of the main sides and ends. The corners are adorned with pilasters, and it has a corniced flat top. The memorial commemorates Sarah Head, who died in 1806.
