Description
Nos 71, 72, and 73 are three attached cottages, now functioning as two semi-detached cottages, dating from the late 17th century. They are constructed of dressed limestone with header bond brick on the first floor and feature a thatched roof, except for No 73, which has a tiled roof, along with brick stacks. The cottages are arranged in a T-plan and are two stories high with a three-window front.
No 71 has a planked door set in a beaded case, two 3-light recessed chamfered mullioned windows, and one 2-light casement window. The raised first floor includes three 3-light casements. A projecting wing to the right features a 2-light casement and a coped verge. No 73 has a 3-light casement and a 20th-century extension to the right. The right return of the building has two 2-light casements. The rear includes a 2-light recessed chamfered mullioned window, a 20th-century mullioned window, a 2-light casement, and four eyebrow dormers with 3-light and 2-light casements. Inside, the cottages have chamfered beams.
