Description
Nos 69 and 70 are a pair of semi-detached cottages located in Ansty Village. They date from the 18th century and the late 19th century. The cottages are built of dressed limestone and feature a fishscale tiled roof with an axial brick stack. The gable end faces the road, and the buildings are two stories tall with a four-window front. There are two planked doors located in gabled porches from the 19th century, which have bargeboards. The windows include two-light and three-light casements, while the first floor has four two-light casements. The left side of the building has a gable end that features a 19th-century oriel window with leaded casements and wavy bargeboards. At the rear, there is a 19th-century lean-to extension that includes planked doors and casements. Inside, the cottages have chamfered beams.
