Description
Mullions is a pair of semi-detached cottages dating from the 17th century. They are constructed from dressed limestone and feature a half-hipped thatched roof with brick stacks. The building has a T-plan layout with the entrance located at the rear.
The cottages are two stories tall and have a three-window entrance front. On the left side, there is a 20th-century glazed porch and extension, along with a two-light recessed mullioned window. The central wing has a lean-to on the ground floor, while the right side features a two-light recessed chamfered mullioned window.
On the first floor, the left side has a two-light casement window, the central wing has a three-light recessed chamfered mullioned window, and the right side has another three-light recessed chamfered mullioned window. The left return includes one-light and two-light casements, while the right return has a one-light recessed chamfered mullioned window and a 20th-century porch and door.
At the rear, which faces the road, there is a three-light mullioned window and two two-light casements. The attic has two three-light casements in eyebrow dormers and one one-light casement on the first floor. The interior was not accessible during the survey conducted in February 1985.
