Description

Maypole Cottage is a 17th-century building that originally consisted of two cottages but is now one. It is constructed from dressed limestone and features a thatched roof with a half-hip on the right side, along with brick stacks. The cottage has one storey and an attic, with three windows. The central entrance has a planked door set in a chamfered case. To the right, there is a 2-light recessed chamfered mullioned window and a 20th-century casement window. On the left side, there are two 3-light casements and a 20th-century garage door. The attic includes two eyebrow dormers, one with a 2-light casement and the other with a 1-light casement, along with a 2-light casement in the left dormer. The right return features a 20th-century casement and a 2-light casement, while the left return has a garage beneath a hipped roof. Inside, the cottage has chamfered beams, an open fireplace, and planked doors.
