Description

ALLINGTON - SU 23 NW 4/3 Two monuments in churchyard 3m west of west end, Church of St John II

Two chest tombs. Early C19. Buff brickwork with limestone table and bases, and panelled sides. From north, (a) incised oval on side containing inscription to Mary Jane Horne, date of death illegible. (b) Similar, to Robert Horne, died 1810, Thomas, died 1826 added, and parents Alice and Roger, died 1819.
