Description
Wyndham Farmhouse, now a house, was built in the later 18th century and incorporates a mid-17th century three-bay stone and timber-framed cottage. The exterior is colourwashed flint with brick quoins and banding, topped with a tiled roof. The house is two storeys and has an attic, with a symmetrical plan of three bays. A fourth bay was added to the left in the early 19th century, accompanied by a rear stack. A central gabled porch, also from the early 19th century, has a slate roof and an arched opening containing the original six-panelled door, which is set forward. The ground floor windows are tripartite four-pane sashes, while the first floor has two- and three-light casements with wide frames, and a four-pane sash in the extension. A gabled dormer is present at the rear, along with gable stacks. An early 20th century two-storey bay, built of red brick and roughcast, was added to the gable of the extension. Further lean-to extensions are present to the right gable and rear, with the centre rear lean-to featuring pantiles. Inside, the north room contains a chamfered spine beam with ogee and bar stops. The roof comprises five bays with two tiers of purlins, and chamfered windbraces to the centre bay.
