Description

The granary at Queen Manor is a structure from the 18th century or early 19th century. It is timber framed and weatherboarded, resting on thirteen staddles that are four feet apart. The roof is made of corrugated iron, and the gables are also clad in this material. The granary features six bays, with a sliding door located in the fourth bay. The staddles are doubled under the jambs. The wall framing includes bressumers, with jowled posts and braces supporting the ties. There are vertical struts to the principals and two tiers of purlins, with the upper tier featuring windbraces. The roof is half hipped at both ends.
