Description

The Barns monument, located in the churchyard 6 metres south of the south door of the Church of St. Michael, is a chest tomb dating from 1809. It is made of limestone and features a moulded table and base. The sides of the tomb have an oval panel with an inscription dedicated to John Barns of West Court. An addition was made in 1821 for Thomas Barns and their wives.
