Description
A group of three Blake memorials is located in the churchyard, about 47 metres west of the south porch of the Church of St. Andrew. These chest tombs date from the mid 18th century to the late 19th century and are made of limestone. Two of the 18th century tombs share the same design, featuring a plinth, plain panels on the sides, and a flat chamfered top with well-crafted lettering. One tomb commemorates Elizabeth Blake, who died in 1756, while the tomb to the south has an illegible inscription. The late 19th century tomb, created by Osmond of Sarum, includes a plinth, one fielded panel on the main sides, and a moulded flat top, and it commemorates Charles Blake, who died in 1865.
