Description
This is a pair of two-storey houses, numbers 6 and 7 Polebarn Road, dating from the mid to late 19th century and forming part of a larger planned development that included numbers 8 to 15. The houses are constructed of ashlar and have a gable end facing the street, with recessed cross gables on either side to create entrance features. Side piers define the front gable, and a band runs across the ground floor level. Each house has two windows, with plate glass sash windows. The ground floor windows are tripartite, featuring stone mullions. Decorative brackets support the projecting eaves of the slate roof. The houses are set within a group that includes Rosefield Cottage and its associated wall, gatepiers, and gates, along with the wall connecting Rosefield to the Police Station, and numbers 1 to 15 Polebarn Road.
