Description

The Tyler/Holborow monument is a chest tomb located about 12 meters south of the southeast angle of the tower of the Church of St. James in North Wraxall. It dates from around 1800 and is made of pennant stone. The tomb features two rectangular plaques on the north side, with a drapery drop between them and lyre ends adorned with husk drops. It has a moulded base and capstone. The north side includes inscriptions for E. Tyler, who died in 1807, while the south side displays two rococo panels with an inscription for I. Holborow, who died in 1795.
