Description

Woodley Cottage is a cottage dating from the 17th to 18th century. It is constructed of whitewashed sarsen and flint, with the front rendered. There is a brick extension, and the roof is thatch and tiles. The building is one storey with an attic and consists of two bays, with the extension forming a third bay. The gable faces the street, and there is a central glazed door set in a simple 19th-century boarded porch. The cottage features 12-pane casement windows. The thatch is half hipped on the right side towards the road and sweeps over two front dormers. There is a stack on the left gable, positioned before the 20th-century extension.
