Description
Beech Knoll is a house dating from around 1820 to 1840. It is constructed of diaper brick with a slate roof. The house is two storeys and has three bays, with a central door leading to the stair hall. The plan consists of two rooms deep, with a rear room extended to the left by three bays to connect to a coach house (listed separately). The front features a rendered portico with a cornice and parapet, housing a six-panelled door, partly glazed, and a three-pane fanlight above. The windows are 12-pane sashes with concealed boxes in painted reveals, set within gauged flat brick arches, which are tripartite on the ground floor. The building has wide boxed eaves and a hipped roof with a valley on the interior. There are stacks on the left and rear of the building. A wing features a four-panelled door with a fanlight in the third bay, and 16-pane sashes to the first floor, with a central stack and a hipped roof to the left.
