Description
Baydon House Farmhouse is a farmhouse dated 1744, constructed of vitrified brick with red brick dressings and a slate roof. The building is two stories high and features three bays, with a recessed wing to the left that has an additional three bays. The elevation is symmetrical, highlighted by a projecting gabled porch from around 1960 that contains a panelled door. The centre bay is slightly advanced and gabled, featuring a datestone in a roundel within the tympanum. The windows are 12-pane sashes with heavy glazing bars, displaying alternating square and segmental heads, all made with gauged brick and a stone keystone. The roof is hipped, with stacks rising from the walls between the front and back rooms. There is a rear wing added around 1850, which has margin glazed segmental headed sashes and a blocked door at the junction with the main house. A stack is located on the left gable.
