Description

The barn at East Leaze Farm is an 18th-century structure featuring a weatherboarded timber frame set on high sarsen rubble walls, topped with a corrugated iron roof. It consists of five bays with a north aisle and is positioned across the slope of the site. The entrance is located in the second bay. The barn showcases jowelled posts and straight braces supporting the ties and aisle plates. The roof is constructed with queen strut trusses, two purlins, and wind braces attached to the upper purlin, and it has a quarter-hipped design at the right (east) end.
