Description

Kingscote is a cottage dating from the 17th century, with later additions. The original structure is built of sarsen stone, timber framing, and brick infilling, and has a thatched roof with a half-hipped profile and a chimney located to the right of the centre. It comprised originally of two structural bays, with a modern brick extension to the right and a modern brick and timber flat-roofed extension across the left end. The cottage features a modern casement window in an eyebrow dormer and a modern entrance door to the left. The interior retains simple exposed chamfered spine beams with run-out stops.
